World War II Veteran James Cassidy, receives a Bronze Star forshowing exceptional bravery under enemy fire. He was originally supposed to receive it back in the 40's but for some reason it was never issued. The armed forces finally recognized their error and awarded him the BronzeStar Monday at the Memorial Day services at Ridgewood Cemetery in North Andover. Andover's Newest School Committee Member Tim Pybus Board of Selectmen and School Committee join forces by Secret Ballot to choose a "lucky" member of the community to join their 'good old boy club.' The interview questions were pathetic and of little substance. The committee voted by writing down their top two choices (refusing to reveal those votes to the public) prior to a "unanimous" vote, which committee members called "procedural." The actual voting tallies and slips of paper which the secret votes were written on, will be posted here later today so that the public can see exactly who Roesmary, Dan and the insiders club voted for. |
