Despite Tribune Story, Speaker DiMassi
Shows up at Campbell Event
Tribune doesn't even bother to cover their own story!
After running a story on the front page this week calling into question whether or not House Speaker
Sal Dimasi would show up at a fundraiser for Methuen State Rep. candidate Linda Dean Campbell,
The Eagle Tribune didn't even bother to send a reporter to cover the event. LO AND BEHOLD!
Massachusetts Speaker of the House Sal DiMasi did in fact attend Campbell's event asking upon his
arrival "Where is the Tribune?" Dimasi was surprised that the Tribune would write a story about an event
and then not cover it. Speaker DiMasi did say he was pleased that The Valley Patriot
was the only newspaper present to catch all the festivities.

Campbell and read (in the Valley Patriot) that

Outgoing State Rep. Arthur Broadhurst got the
loudest cheers from the crowd when he showed
up late. Broadhurst addressed the crowd just
before DiMasi admitted it was Broadhurst who
approached him to support Campbell.
