FIRST CLASS GRADUATES.....
CUTTING AWAY TO SUCCESS

| BACK |
For more than 10 years the building at 315 East Haverhill Street stood vacant until Patricia Muraco came along with her vision of a Cosmetology School. Dozens of individuals told her she was taking a big risk by opening a school in Lawrence, but faith and perserverance prevailed and in August 2003 her first class began. The Merrimack Valley School of Hair Design (MVSHD) is proud to announce the graduation of their first class. Patricia is said she was pleased to announce: my graduates have passed the state examination and are all employed. Students have enrolled from many areas of the Merrimack Valley: Methuen, Lawrence, Haverhill, Lowell, Amesbury, Salem, NH, Danville, NH, etc.
Many senior citizens have welcomed the students with open arms during several MVSHD Senior Citizen Appreciation Days, and the school is thankful. Patricia feels community involvement plays a key role in the education process and the students have been very eager to participate in community events. The school's positive influence has increased the awareness of all revitalization in the Merrimack Valley, being a quarter of a mile from the Gateway Project. Partnerships are forming as a result of this. MVSHD will be hosting an
Open House for prospective students on Tuesday, August
24, 2004 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Additional
information on the Open House, or school information is
available by calling Patricia at 978-688-1133. Visit
their web site and view the program and photos at www.mvshd.com. Send your questions
