BULLETIN!: North Andover Families welcome to Myrtle St. for free food vouchers (ID REQUIRED!)
Per: Elizabeth Deming, Salvation Army. An effort is being made to get food vouchers to displaced
NA families tomorrow and Wednesday at either the Salvation Army HQ on Amesbury St. in Lawrence
or at the Hotels in Tewksbury where displaced families are staying.

Middle Pic, Louis Waldren of the Lawrence Inspectional Services Dept. coordinated relief efforts with
community activist Isabel Melendez, who has spent countless hours bringing food and clothing to
families who have not been able to return to their homes since last Tuesday. Pic at right, a Lawrence
woman carries donated cleaning supplies back to her home on Bromfield St.

Isabel Melendez gets word that a truck load of clothing had just been donated and left at the Lawrence
senior center. Melendez coordinated with Lous Waldren and other volunteers, a group of people who
could go through all the donated clothing and sort them so they could be distributed. Melendez has had a
family of six staying at her home since last week. It is amazing how so many politicians mug for the photo
ops and take all the credit while people like Melendez, Waldren and other "activists" actually get
the job DONE!
