The Great Stone Dam in Lawrence

The bridge in the second and third pictures above is the railroad bridge that runs along side
the falls birdge. The water is past it's high water mark and starting to overtake the bridge.
In the third picture below you can see a shot between the falls and railroad bridge
off Broadway (Rt. 28) in Lawrence

Central Catholic High School on Hampshire St. In Lawrence sits on the Spicket River

Hampshire Street and Auburn St. (above) in Lawrence
completely under water this afternoon at 3pm

Mary Immaculate Nursing Home on Bennington St. in Lawrence had to be protected by
tons of sand, gravel and landfill. City workers and private landscapers worked
around the clock to surround the nursing home to stop the Spicket River while
electrical workers shut off the power grid to sections of North Lawrence

Bennington St. in Lawrence, first picture above is the Lawrence City Yard under at
least 2 feet of water. The second picture is a small bridge with the Spicket River
topping Bennington St. Officials closed the street early Monday. Below, the front door to
Mary Immaculate Nursin Home. The Spicket River barely being held back by mounds
of sand while rescue vehicles wait for the word to evacuate the home's most
vulnerable and fragile patients.

Above, City workers on Exchange St. plow through the overflowing Spicket. Middle
picture above is the back side of Mary Immaculate's parking lot. Below left is the Hayden
Schofield Playstead, middle pic is the back door of Farrah Funeral home. Pic
